Speaker
Called “The King of Art with a Midas Touch” in a recent New York Times feature article, Jock Reynolds has directed the Yale University Art Gallery since 1998. He previously held leadership positions at the Addison Gallery of American Art at Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts, and the Washington (DC) Project for the Arts. He earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.F.A. from the University of
California at Davis.

Most recently he has overseen the major renovation, expansion, and reinstallation of the Yale University Art Gallery’s facilities, which opened to great acclaim in December 2012. Among his latest curatorial projects is Sol LeWitt: A Wall Drawing Retrospective, a collaboration of the Yale University Art Gallery, MASS MoCA, and the Williams College Museum of Art. The exhibit opened in 2008 and will remain on public view through 2033.
A practicing artist, Reynolds often collaborates with his wife Suzanne Hellmuth on works that have been broadly exhibited in the realms of visual art and theater. He has garnered numerous grants and awards and is represented in major museum collections around the country.
