Dr. Pal will speak on Thursday, September 8 at 7:15 p.m. on the first floor of the Museum.
There is no charge for admission. His topic is “Temple Sculpture from India and Southeast Asia: Themes and Variations.”

With two Ph. D’s, twenty-two major museum exhibitions, two hundred seventy publications, twenty editorships, eight professional appointments, eight university teaching positions, twenty-plus fellowships and awards, too many lectures to count, it is hard to believe that Dr. Pal’s resume belongs to one man. Dr. Pal was awarded a Padma Shri by the President of India in 2009.

Pre-lecture reception is at 6:00 pm by reservation on the third floor of AMoA, which houses the Dr. and Mrs. William T. Price Collection of Asian Art.   A $40 reservation includes cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres.
