The AMoA (Amarillo Museum of Art) BIENNIAL-600: SCULPTURE will be an exhibition of artworks selected by a distinguished juror from works submitted by artists residing within a 600 mile radius of Amarillo, Texas. The exhibition will be on view August 14 – October 9, 2015.
BIENNIAL-600: SCULPTURE is the sixth in an ongoing series of juried biennial exhibitions exploring specific areas of artistic practice, material, and content. Previous exhibition focuses include Drawing (’05), Clay (‘07), Glass (‘09), Figurative Painting(‘11) and Printmaking (‘13). This year, the AMoA staff and Board of Trustees are excited to offer the museum’s exhibition spaces to artists working in the realm of sculpture.

In addition to her work at the Nasher Sculpture Center, Arnold is a doctoral candidate at the University of Texas at Dallas. She was guest curator for Robert Smithson in Texas and co-curator for DallasSITES: Charting Contemporary Art, 1963 to Present, both 2013 exhibitions at the Dallas Museum of Art. Arnold has also curated exhibitions at CentralTrak: The University of Texas at Dallas Artists Residency & Gallery, Gray Matters Gallery, and The Wilcox Space.
In her role at the Nasher Sculpture Center, Arnold has assisted in the research and development of exhibitions and publications including Nasher XChange, David Bates, Mark Grotjahn, and Melvin Edwards: Five Decades. For the last exhibition’s forthcoming publication, Arnold contributed the first catalogue of the artist’s public sculpture. This coming fall, Arnold will be helping to shape artist Piero Golia's provocative Chalet Dallas installation at the Nasher Sculpture Center.
