The AMoA Open
January 9 - 17, 2016

The AMoA Open is a unique initiative designed to give artists of all ages and levels of experience an opportunity to exhibit their work in a museum setting. It is open to any artist working in any medium. We will accept only one work per person. The show is hung by the artist “salon style” from floor to ceiling.

Artists Install Work
Friday, January 8, 10 am - 4 pm, or Saturday, January 9, 1 pm - 4 pm

Opening Party
Saturday, January 9, 7 pm - 9 pm
Admission is $10 per person Museum members enter free

Exhibition Dates
Continues through January 17

Artist Deinstall Work
Sunday, January 17, 1 pm - 5 pm

Requirements
We will accept only one artwork per person. (No diptychs, triptychs, et cetera.) All artwork is subject to review; the show must be appropriate for all ages. Participation in exhibition is FREE. Artwork must be dry and ready to hang or install. The Museum will furnish pins, nails, hammers and a limited number of pedestals. Artwork hung on the wall may not exceed 5x5 feet. Label material will be furnished. No additional label material (such as artists’ statements, business cards, et cetera) will be allowed.

Museum Hours

The Amarillo Museum of Art is open:
Tuesday through Friday from 10 am - 5 pm. 
Saturday and Sunday the Museum is open from 1 pm - 5 pm
(except for exhibition installation weeks)

There is no admission fee.

 

Online Store

The Amarillo Museum of Art publishes and distributes numerous fine art catalogues and posters. Southeast Asian and East Indian artifacts are featured as well as renowned modernist artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe and John Marin.
