LATIN AMERICAN GRAPHICS:
The Evolution of Identity from the Mythical to the Personal

DECEMBER 10, 2004 - JANUARY 30, 2005
This exhibition of forty-four graphic works in a variety of techniques by thirty-nine Latin American artists surveys the evolution of modern and contemporary Latin American prints from mid-20th century to the present. The selection shows how Latin American artists gradually moved from the concern of developing a contemporary language, finding in many cases their identities in the context of history and ancestral tradition, to the identification of a more personal realm within which global problems come into question.

Don’t miss out on the Latin American Christmas Festival that runs in conjunction with this exhibition. Mark your calendar for Saturday, December 11, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.!
