BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP Opportunities
for Giving
The staff of the Amarillo Museum of Art is always available to discuss
a gift to the Museum. In addition to annual membership, there are many
other ways through which you may be a part of the Museum's mission.
Please call us at 806-371-5050 to visit with the staff about your support
of the Museum.
Honorary Gifts
Remember family members, friends and loved ones on a special occasion
such as a birthday or anniversary in this unique and special manner.
Your thoughtfulness will be acknowledged to the family by the Museum
staff.
Memorial Gifts
Honor the memory of a deceased loved one with a gift to the Museum that
they loved and supported during their lifetime. Your thoughtfulness
will be acknowledged to the family by the Museum staff.
Sponsorships
There are a variety of opportunities available for sponsorship of exhibits,
educational programs, and special events at the Museum. You may choose
to be the sole sponsor of a program or event, or simply make a donation
toward the overall expenses. Your gift will be recognized in all printed
and promotional materials as well as during the program or event.
Major Gifts
Donors may give gifts of cash, stock, oil and gas interests, and bonds
to the Museum. In addition to providing assets for the Museum, your
contribution will be deductible to the extent of the law as determined
by the Internal Revenue Service. The Museum may not be able to accept
all gifts. Before making any final decisions, please visit with the
Development staff and Museum Director to determine what is in the best
interests of both you and the Museum.
Planned Gifts
Remembering the Museum in your estate will ensure that the support you
provide today will continue for years to come. Gifts may be made through
bequests in your will or by naming the Museum as the beneficiary of
a life insurance policy as well as through other methods. The Development
staff can meet with you and your estate planning professional to design
a gift which meets with your wishes.
Acquisitions
The Museum is available to discuss gifts to the permanent collection
with you whether it be a piece you already own, or providing funds
for
future acquisitions. Please note that the Museum may not be able to
accept all works of art, and must stay within the mission of the permanent
collection. The Museum Director will be happy to assist you with gifts
in this area.
Corporate Partners
The Museum is proud to continue developing innovative programs and
resources for our community through the support of Corporate Partners.
The Museum shares their commitment to education; and we are proud
to provide an opportunity for children to have a "brush" with
art through the Museum's education programs. We are honored to partner
with the following corporations to further the educational efforts
of the Amarillo Museum of Art.
- Amarillo National Bank
- Anderson Merchandisers
- Lowe's
- Mervyn's
- Nunn Electric Supply Corporation
- Panhandle Plastic Surgery
- SBC Corporation
- Target Stores
- Western Builders
- Xcel Energy Foundation
Recent Gifts
The Museum recently received a gift from the Art Force Fine Arts and
Humanities Support Fund for the Distance Learning/Interactive Television
Program. It is due largely to Art Force that our community is richly
blessed with extraordinary artists in both the visual and performing
arts. The staff and volunteers of the Museum are extremely appreciative
of the tireless efforts of the many volunteers involved in supporting
both Art Force and the arts in Amarillo and beyond.
A gift in support of Museum School was received from the B. L. and
Doris Morgan Visual Arts Scholarship fund. Funds will be used to provide
scholarships for students in Summer Art Camp. B. L. and Doris Morgan
are lifetime contributors to the Amarillo Art Center, now the Amarillo
Museum of Art, where Doris continues her service. Their support of
Museum School and the Amarillo Museum of Art is a direct result of
their commitment to visual art. We appreciate greatly the continued
annual support of Doris as well as the annual support from their scholarship
fund.
